The body has decided that women shouldn't be allowed to pay less for their car insurance, as this discriminates against men, despite figures from insurers backing up the current stance.
The British Insurance Brokers' Association (Biba) show that the current cost of a claim from an 18-year-old man sits at £4,400, but for a woman of the same age, the figure currently sits at £2,700.
