Many people seeking debt help in Britain today say they regret not be able to pay off their debt problems more quickly in 2010.

Around 53 per cent of consumers say they wish they’d been able to lower the amount of money borrowed by a greater amount before the New Year, according to first direct.

Debt problems may have also had something to do with the 37 per cent of people who regret being unable to start their retirement earlier savings.

And of financial reasons to be unhappy, people taking part in the survey voted debt problems as number one, again - with 82 per cent saying they regret owing so much when it comes to credit. ADNFCR-2613-ID-19950690-ADNFCR
