People who don't have access to the internet at home may end up needing debt help, as the best bank deals aren't available to them.
This comes after research by Which? found that many Britons can make huge savings online for example, travel insurance bought in-person can cost more than three times as much (355 per cent) as when bought online.
Government figures show that there are four million people in the country without their own internet connection and Which? suggests that banks provide terminals in-branch to help them ward off those needing debt solutions.
However, Brian Mairs from the British Bankers' Association (BBA) has defended the banks, stating that they "will reserve the right to offer the best deals they can, where they can".
Kevin Still, Director of Atlantic Financial Management says, "There is evidence that those people who don't have access to the Internet or even a home phone may suffer some social exclusion.
As part of our overall debt solution for people in financial difficulty we look at ways to reduce expenditure through our sister company MoneySave Financial Solutions, which looks at banking, insurance and energy costs."
