There looks to be a cut in housing benefits, which could lead to more people seeking debt management.

According to the British Property Federation, there will be some "real life personal tragedies" as people in debt have to find more money to keep a roof over their head.

The squeeze will be further felt now that the Sustainable Development Commission (SDC) has been scrapped, according to environmentalist George Monbiot.

People could face debt problems caused by the £60m of savings it would have made being passed down in the form of tax rises.

Meanwhile, Kevin Still believes that using clear language in banking is "essential", after it emerged that two-thirds of people find words used by their banks confusing.

And more people may need professional debt advice after Lloyds announced that they have stopped selling the controversial Payment Protection Insurance (PPI).

PPI helps people make repayments if they lose their jobs and not having it could lead to debt misery in the current climate.ADNFCR-2613-ID-19914283-ADNFCR
