Nearly two-thirds (60 per cent) of Britons have admitted that their debt problems wouldnt concern them too much, even if they lost their job.
On top of that, only a third (35 per cent) would start to worry if debt collectors started knocking on their door, according to new research from Moneysupermarket.com.
Peoples lax attitude to debt is further shown by two in three (66 per cent) saying that they wouldnt lose any sleep if their debt problems caused them to miss a payment on their gas or electricity bills.
However, Tim Moss from Moneysupermarket.com has warned that missing a payment will not only increase debt levels, but also reduce the chances of getting credit in future.
