Debt can affect all areas of society, as we’ve seen in the news this week, so let’s take a look at recent developments.

One in three homeowners fears that they will be consumed by debt within three months if they are made redundant, according to housing specialists Property Portfolio Rescue.

A quarter of Britons also worry that they may need debt advice as the country faces up to an age of austerity.

Debt management plans could also help arguing families. New research from the Clydesdale and Yorkshire Banks found that debts are causing millions of people to argue more at home.

Atlantic Financial Management’s Kevin Still comments that “There is a strong correlation between financial stress and domestic problems”.

This week has also seen older people worry about needing debt advice if Capital Gains Tax is increased, whilst the Nottingham School of Economics has said that more mentally ill people may need debt management in the future as the country recovers from recession.ADNFCR-2613-ID-19818114-ADNFCR
