Cold snap could push Brits into debt problems
11/01/2010Brits could find themselves in need of debt management help as a result of the current freezing weather conditions, it has been warned.
uSwitch.com has predicted that winter fuel bills could increase by as much as £60 per household if the country's cold snap continues into February.
The Met Office is expecting that further snow could come in the middle of this week. The ongoing chill is likely to cause severe difficulties for those who are already struggling to pay their bills during the longest recession on record.
The finding comes shortly after housing charity Shelter warned that one in four consumers is cutting down on heating to meet housing costs.
